HIGHCLIFFE HOUSELynton
Originally
built in the 1870's as a gentleman's summer residence, Highcliffe
House, is now a beautifully restored guest house. Standing in its
own grounds approximately 500ft above sea level, it commands
stunning views of the Exmoor hills and coastline, Lynmouth Bay
and across the Bristol Channel to South Wales. It is secluded yet
only a few minutes walk from Lynton and the famous Cliff
Railway.
Many lovely walks can be started from the front door and Highcliffe House is a convenient base from which to visit National Trust properties, gardens and for sight-seeing. The house is situated within Exmoor National Park which has a character all of its own and was dubbed "Little Switzerland" by the Victorians.
Guests are assured a warm and friendly welcome, and a relaxing, enjoyable stay.
