The North Cliff Hotel, standing
in its own grounds, has some of the finest views of the North Devon coastline.
It is in a peaceful position some 500 feet above sea level on the well known
marine North Walk overlooking Lynmouth Bay and the beautiful Watersmeet Valley,
and a 200 metre walk to Lynton. With car parking facilities on the forecourt,
the hotel is an ideal base for exploring Exmoor National Park whether it is your
annual holiday or off season break.
The rooms at the North Cliff
Hotel boast some of the best sea views in Lynton, bedrooms are individually
decorated and are en-suite. In the decoration of the rooms we try to maintain
the charm of the Victorian architecture of the North Cliff Hotel whilst
providing modern luxuries that our guests deserve. All bedrooms have colour
television and facilities for making your favorite beverage.
We can accommodate family gatherings or
walking parties as there are 7 doubles, 2 twins, 1 single and 4 family rooms
(which can be used as twins or doubles). We have a licensed bar available for a
drink after a hard day of walking or an aperitif before dinner. Our menu is
extensive and we offer a wide range of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. All our
dishes are home cooked and, where possible, we source our ingredients locally.
We are able to cater for special diets upon request. Why not end a perfect meal
with a night cap on our terrace overlooking Lynmouth Bay and Countisbury Hill.
After a day spent exploring Exmoor or the coast, be it walking or touring, you will be ready to relax and enjoy a drink on the terrace or at the bar and a home cooked meal in our restaurant, which has magnificent sea and coastal views. Children of all ages are very welcome and if you like walking with your dog they are made welcome as well.
