Lynton
You are assured of a warm welcome by the new owners Peter and Daphne at St. Vincent House.
The Georgian style house was built in 1834 by Captain Thomas Green, a master mariner, from prize monies he had received when fighting alongside Nelson at the Battle of St. Vincent (off the west coast of Portugal).
The hotel retains many of its original features, including fireplaces and a beautiful Regency staircase to the first and second floors.
There is an elegant dining room and the lounge is available for guests to relax in.
The six bedrooms, which are furnished to a luxurious standard, are all named after victorious battleships from Nelson's fleet: Victory, Irresistible, Colossus, Orion, Blenheim and Prince George. The relaxed atmosphere, comfortable beds and the varied breakfast menus will ensure that your stay is an enjoyable one.
